The 18th Maccabiah Games Sealed With an Impressive Ceremony at Latrun
July 23rd, 2009
The closing ceremony at the Latrun Amphitheatre (produced by Racheli & Roni Aviram), with its farewell party atmosphere, signified the end of the 18th Maccabiah Games. Swimmer Jason Lezak and chess player Judit Polgár were chosen as the outstanding players of the Maccabiah. The President and Information and Diaspora Minister of Israel gave their blessings, and expressed their hope that the 18th Maccabiah participants will all return to Israel quickly, though next time, as new immigrants

Maccabi Hungary's S.Kovacs Adam won the gold on the World Games
Jozsef Horvath, Chairman - Maccabi Hungary, July 26th
S.Kovacs Adam couldn't participate on our Jewish Olympics because he went to the World Games (Olympics for the non-Olympics sports).
It was sad to miss him as a Maccabiah participant, but it is great that he won gold on the World Games More News
